Stone Pebbles

Pebble counting

what pebbles do and how they are used?

Pebbles are what you earn in when you draw your Voeelk. Pebbles add up to allow new changes to be added and these do not deplete! You keep earning more and more until you reach max (currently maxed at 1000)
Each image you draw earns you a certain number of pebbles which each individual keeps track of, pebbles do not deplete so don't worry about having to add and subtract every time you apply a change.
You can show your pebble summary any way you wish, but the most convenient way is to show how many pebbles were earned on that particular image followed by your new total.

Gift art, NPCs and Pets

de8vfea-aeb08286-c5c4-4d18-adc1-764da097

Gift art rewards you with 1 extra pebble on top of the pebbles you earn for the image for every official Voeelk that does not belong to you.

This includes member Voeelk and official group NPCs

What about unofficial NPCs?

You are welcome to draw your own NPC's but pebbles are counted differently than official NPC's.

You only gain a maximum of 3 pebbles for unofficial NPCs regardless of if you might earn 7 normally. This is to reward people for still drawing but also encourage people to interact with other members.

Pets also count towards levels but same as unofficial NPCs can only max to 3.

Partial

partial_edited.jpg

Partial images count for 1 pebble each. Partial art must show the head and shoulders at least,

If the body is cut off by an object then it is considered partial.

For example the leg and tail is behind the tree and the body is under a blanket.

Fullbody

a_tail_by_strayva_de8h619 (1).png

Every fullbody visible in an image is considered 2 pebbles straight away. Yes, line art can be submitted to the group and would be just 2 pebbles, but it must be full body!

If there is a small part of the body that is covered by another voeelks then it can still be considered a fullbody, for example the arm here. But you can still see the majority of the Eelk.

Grey scale

Grey scale is a viable option when it comes to colouring as it sets a mood. Greyscale is worth 1 pebble for every voeelk, fullbody or partial!

Full colour

Adding full colour to a Voeelk will award you 2 extra pebbles to either a fullbody or partial image!

Shading

shading.png

Shading is a good way of adding more pebbles, you can choose to use soft or cell shading. Adding a gradient over the image does not count for shading however. Shading counts for and extra 1 pebble for the image.

+1 Pebble

Simple background

simp.png

Simple backgrounds are flat with few details such as a landscape with just grass, sky, and a single tree.

Alternatively, you can add a pattern or such as the background but it must have effort put into it such as the example. A single colour with some gradient will not count.

+1 Pebble

Detailed Background

detailed.png

Detailed images have more effort put into it, smaller details such as mountains in the background, depth, clouds, bushes etc. You do not require shading for the image to have it count as a detailed background as that is separate.

Literature

Typewriter Keys

Literature and stories can be added to a deviation to add more pebbles.
Every 200 Words is equal to +2 pebbles
Every 250 Words in RP +1 pebble.

Max pebbles

she_s_ganna_eat_me__by_ladyurod_de8lc80-

There is a max of 100 pebbles per deviation, this includes stories in the descriptions.

The current pebble count is 1000 though we encourage you to continue to count after that incase more upgrades are added with a higher pebble requirement.

Layout example 1

Here is a layout for gifts that would count as a polished image.
You have a detailed background with shading on each character and there are dynamic poses.
Each character counts for 6 pebbles as they are fullbodies, coloured, shaded and gifts plus it is a detailed background.
Which equals 20 pebbles.

Layout example 2

Here is another layout for gifts.
Again, each character counts for 6 pebbles as they are fullbodies, coloured, shaded, and gifts.
Which equals 18 pebbles!

Layout example 3

Here we still have 6 pebbles for each Voeelk as they are gifts again but you also gain 1 pebble per voeelk thanks to the simple backgrounds that were added.
These backgrounds count as they have multiple colours as well as textures and show effort was put into them.
Which means this image would equal up to 14 pebbles.
